| 二人の住まいはジャングルにありました ジャングルの生活に大切なのは 握力です 木から木へ飛び移るとき 把えた枝をしっかりと握れないと 落っこちてしまいますから ジェニーはターサンの握力を鍛えるための よい訓練法を考案しました ターサンの両足を蔦で縛って木に吊るし 木の上から垂らしたもう一組の蔦を 彼の手に握らせて ターサンをジェニーのための ハンモックに仕立てあげるのです その蔦はハリガネヅタと呼ばれる その地方独特の種類でした 名の通り 極めて丈夫で とてもつるつるしています ジェニーは 忠実な恋人ターサンの 体の上に身を横たえ すやすやと眠りました その美しい足を ジャングルの王者の頭の上に休めながら ジャングルの女王はどんな夢を見るのでしょうか ジェニーの素晴らしい肉体が ターサンの背に重くのしかかります 滑りやすい蔦を ターサンは満身の力を篭めて 握り締めねばなりませんでした ターサンにとって つらい試練でした しかしジェニーは 信じて疑いませんでした 彼女がターサンに載っている間中 彼がジェニーの体を 支えつづけるに違いないことを ターサンを信頼すること それがジェニーの愛 ジェニーの信頼に応えること それがターサンの愛

| They had a dwelling in jungle. There strong grip was indispensable to survive, because, to jump from tree to tree, you must grip it securely to prevent you from falling down. Jenny hitted on a good idea to train Tarsan of his grasping power. Binding his feet with a pair of ivy she hanged him from a tree, then commanded him to grip another pair to suspend himself in the air. Thus he was made into a hammock, on which Jenny would rest herself. The ivy she used was called Iron Ivy, endemic species to the region. True to its name, it was strong as well as very slippery. Laying herself down on him, Jenny slept a peaceful sleep on Tarsan, her faithful boy. Resting her feet on the head of the King of the jungle, what a dream the Queen of jungle was dreaming ? Her splendid body weighed heavy on his back. He had to grip the slippery ivy with all his strength. It was a tough challenge for Tarsan. But Jenny was convinced that he would keep sustaining her, as long as she was on him. For Jenny, to love Tarsan was to trust him. For Tarsan, to love Jenny was to prove himself worthy of her trust.
