乗馬とは支配の技術である。
感情と意志と判断とを有する本来独立の高等動物の一匹を
自分の意志に隷属させる技術である。

轡と手綱によって馬の自発的意志を奪ってしまうのであり、
鞭と拍車とによって、乗手の意志を強制的に加えるのである。

全生物界を通じて生物の一個体の他の一個体に対する支配にして
これほど徹底的に完璧なものはあるまい。

…その支配は説得によるものでなく、
鞭と拍車による絶対的服従の強制なのである。

Horse riding is an art to rule.
Art to put a higher animal, which is independent under normal conditions with its own emotion, will and mind, in a servile position to rider’s will.

It is to take all the free-will of a horse away by bit and reins,
and to force the will of rider by whip and spurs.

In all over the animal kingdom, you will find no other example of the rule of an individual over other individual so through and compleat.

It is not the rule with agreement; it is to force unquestioning submission by whip and spurs.
